The 3 Types Of SEO Services

As you begin your search for SEO services, you may want to consider what sets company’s SEO services apart from its competitors. Corporations which give Search Engine Optimization companies typically employ various Web optimization philosophies, techniques and methods for optimizing their clients’ internet sites. This compilation of techniques are ordinarily termed as “hats” Search Engine Optimization solutions generally arrive in a few different hats:

Black Hat SEO Expert services

Black Hat SEO, while successful in the early days of SEO,  is currently acknowledged as simply spamming. Based on the term”spamming”  by itself, you may perhaps have an notion of what this kind of Search Engine marketing service gives. Black Hat SEO is centered on creating sites whose purpose is manipulating or tricking search engines for far better organic site position. Black Hat Search Engine Optimization depends heavily on automation to provide an unusually high volume of substandard pages and pull hyperlinks from other internet sites which are basically irrelevant. As a result, this SEO solution ordinarily will get inadequate or irrelevant Search Engine Result Pages or SERP results. What is advantageous with Black Hat Web optimization is that it can get your internet site highly ranked on the search engines in a brief span of time. Nonetheless, this is not a sensible Search Engine Optimization strategy;  as soon as the search engines uncover that your website has employed deception and trickery to generate rankings, you will be penalized and find your site so far from the first page of the SERPs. So if you are that hungry to get to the top of the search engine listings and are inclined to take the chance of crossing the SERP recommendations, Black Hat SEO companies are the route for you.  (I highly recommend against this method of search engine optimization.)

White Hat Search Engine Optimization Solutions

For each and every black, there is generally a white. The identical is true for SEO services.  Where Black Hat SEO relies on underhanded techniques, White Hat SEO products and services, on the other hand, rely on the benefits of placing pertinent and high quality information and powerful promoting tactics to rank sites atop the search engines. Search Engine marketing companies that use White Hat techniques will focus on your existing website content. White Hat Web Optimization companies will assist you in creating content that will draw individuals, and not search engines into your internet site.  The objective is for the site to be as natural as possible.  While you want the search engine’s rankings, you must remember that your content – and ultimately you search volume – must be people driven. You really should know that written content is a really important element in Search Engine marketing (if not the most critical). With very good content, White Hat Search Engine Marketing expert services will be in a position to get you extra inbound backlinks from other suitable web sites. White Hat Search engine marketing is definitely considered to be the better SEO instrument. It will not place your site in danger of getting blacklisted and does not violate any Search engine optimization guidelines. Most importantly, readers who check your web site will be more likely to respond to your various calls to action because of your excellent content material. (These are the principals that Dark Starz Productionz SEO are founded on.)

Gray Hat Search Engine Optimization Products and services

Gray Hat Web optimization is mid-way between the two aforementioned techniques and is all about the balancing risks and rewards. There are really a vast number of Search Engine marketing techniques that fall under this classification. Some Gray Hat SEO services may choose to use much more dubious procedures and take even even greater chances to produce speedy and superior search engine rankings. Although many Grey Hat Search Engine Optimization companies comply with the SERP guidelines,  others could place you, your website, and your reputation at risk. If you choose to use Gray Hat Search engine optimization solutions, be absolutely certain about what you are exposing your website and your brand to.

Which hat must you decide on?

In accordance to main search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and Bing, White Hat is fantastic Search Engine Optimization;  Black Hat is bad Web optimization, while Grey Hat is for the most part, iffy at best.  Each camp has its own perspective: those working with Black Hat Search Engine techniques might explain to you that White Hat is much too ineffective and Grey Hat could be safe and sound but not as productive. Those who like Gray Hat may well claim that White Hat Search Engine Optimization methods are only efficient when no Gray or Black Hats are associated. White Hat Web optimization services providers may possibly inform you that Black Hat SEO users are cheaters and those furnishing Gray Hat SEO are quitters.

Regardless of all these varying viewpoints, it is up to you to pick the appropriate form of SEO expert services that you are most comfortable with. Your targets and objectives will determine which form of hat you must use. From my perspective,  if you are serious about your company, White Hat SEO is much better and far more efficient and effective in the long run.

Social Media and SEO: Why You Should Tweet, Post, and Share for a Boost in Organic Traffic

Three reasons why social media is now an important part of SEO and how to use it effectively to boost organic traffic.

It is now safe to say that old school SEO tactics that breed bad practices like content keyword stuffing no longer have any place in the current marketing arena. Google has forced those who relied for so long on unethical SEO practices to rethink their habits with a barrage of updates like Panda and Penguin that were aimed at ridding user generated search results of useless information. Now more SEOs are focused on doing things better, but many are unsure of exactly how to boost traffic to their websites the natural way, with organic search.

Generating Organic Search Results

Organic search results can be defined as listings “that appear because of their relevance to the search terms, as opposed to their being advertisements.” The distinction between what are actual search results versus ads became of importance in the SEO industry after research showed that most of what users were seeing returned highest on the lists from their search queries were nothing more than advertisements. Google has since made a lot of effort to reduce user frustration by making sure that search results in the top positions actually contain information relevant to what users search for.

Making one’s website appear in these results to boost organic traffic can achieved from the use of several ethical strategies such as content marketing and producing social signals through platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and LinkedIn.

Why is Social Media Useful for SEO?

According to Google SEO Expert Qamar Zaman, who is CEO of online press release distribution company Submit Press Release 123, social media is now a critical component of search engine optimization. Says Zaman, “social media has completely changed the game when it comes to influencing search results. It provides a means for businesses and professionals to become a dynamic and more engaging force in their market.”

Why and how? Three key reasons:

  1. Social media provides social proof – The purpose of traditional strategies like link building was to provide proof that certain websites should rank above others based on things like the number of visitors it receives. However within this system, links can be manipulated by those who prefer to take the easy way out and buy them. Social media generated traffic provides the direct proof needed for this type of verification, showing that actual users really are visiting the site and deeming it relevant.
  2. Social media helps one build an authoritative presence in the marketplace – Social media helps facilitate real time interaction with those within a target audience base who have expressed interest in what you have to offer. These platforms afford businesses the opportunity to keep awareness of their brand in constant view of consumers.
  3. Social media generates real traffic to a website – As opposed to with link building, traffic generated through social media links are more prone to turn into actual customers.

It is important for those who choose to harness the power of social media engagement to drive organic traffic to know the rules for doing it effectively. These Zaman says include:

  • Being consistent – Making a post once in a while does not constitute real engagement, and will not lead to a substantial increase in followers or build major awareness about your brand.
  • Not waiting for your audience to engage with you – Prospects on social media are not going to ask you to chat just because you on their list of friends or followers. It is crucial that you join in their conversations or reach out to them in order to be noticed.
  • Being authentic – Dressed up advertisements do not bode well with social media users. They want to view you in terms of compatibility and how relatable your messages are for their needs, not see you as a salesman.

So by now you all know what SEO is right? Right?

What do you mean you haven’t read last week’s column?!

Anyway, in the previous column I mentioned you can do Search Engine Optimization yourself and I also hinted at the vast scope of SEO as a subject. Don’t feel put off just because of me, there are things you can do. You may even be doing some of them right now without realising it.

DISCLAIMER: A lot of SEO is about corrective actions to improve the crawlability of a web page. While they may not sky rocket your site to page one of Google, they will stop your site being penalised in search.

As I mentioned keywords last week, we shall start there. Keywords are the bread and butter of search. Without them search engines wouldn’t even exist. However (and I am taking a deep breath here), the use of keywords can easily be abused. When writing content you should have your chosen keywords in the back of your mind, but making your copy readable and useful is more important. Search engines of today can interpret a lot about a page without having to overuse keywords and are designed to rank quality over quantity. So write content for people, not for search engines.

You can include keywords in places other than the body of your content as well. Page titles, page addresses (URLs), file names of embedded content (images and the like) are all valid options. As before though, remember not to overdo it.

Speaking of images, that’s another place you can easily improve your site. Simply by making sure your images are not too large (and by large I mean the file size), you will be speeding up the load times for your website’s pages. No one likes hanging around for a page to load and the search engines know this. Faster pages (with quality content) generally rank better than slower pages. You can do a lot just by making sure your images are the right size before uploading. It’s easy to do in any graphics package. Alternatively there are many image optimisation apps out in the great wide world. Too many to list here.

It may seem obvious, but using headings in appropriate places really does help. There are six different sizes of headings in HTML (that’s the language of web pages) from h1 (the largest) to h6 (the smallest). You should only have one h1 heading per page. All the rest will be sub headings nested one under the other. If it helps, think of headings as defining sections of content. That is exactly what the search engines expect whenever they find a heading, so staying consistent makes it easier for them to understand your page.

Lastly, you may have created the most fantastic and amazing web page in the entire world! Unless you tell people about it, it probably won’t attract many visitors. This is where marketing gets thrown into the SEO mix. Use every means at your disposal to promote the pages you create, whether it be via email, advertising, social media or word of mouth. Your activity on and offline can all help.
