"The Alvin-Manvel Ministerial Alliance shall glorify Jesus Christ by cooperating in service
to the community and providing opportunity for fellowship among the clergy of all Christian traditions."
| The
Alvin-Manvel Ministerial Alliance is a fellowship of Christian clergy
in the vicinity of Alvin and Manvel, Texas. The organization exists to
cooperate in service to the community as well as provide fellowship for
its members. All Christian clergy in the area are welcome to attend and
participate.
The Alvin-Manvel Ministerial Alliance meets the
second Wednesday of each month with lunch at 11:30 followed by

Helping Hands program. This program administrates the collection and
distribution of funds to the needy of our community. Also the Alvin
Food Pantry is operated by the First Christian Church of Alvin. AMMA
helps oversee the operation of this important ministry to our community.
Annual events sponsored by the Alvin-Manvel Ministerial Alliance are a
Good Friday service, Thanksgiving Service, and the Christmas
Walk-a-Mile. AMMA also participates in the High School Baccalaureate
service. Additionally, AMMA organizes clergy to offer the invocation
prayer at Alvin City Council meetings.
The mission of the Alvin-Manvel Ministerial Alliance is to:
- Give tangible witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ to others
- Promote the visible unity of the Body of Christ in Alvin and Manvel
- Share resources for a corporate ministry of mercy to those around us
- Provide support and fellowship for those who serve as pastors and other leaders of Christian churches within our area
